Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a clan of musicians. Growing up, she listened to classical music, old boleros in addition to traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is passionate about tangos and operas. Also, she loves performing in dramatic shows. Ana began learning and singing the piano with her mom, then began more intense vocal training at the age of 16 working with the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. The School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continue to provide her with music instruction. In Guadalajara along with Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera choirs as well as chamber ensembles. In 2000, she emigrated in America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she relocated to her home in southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private celebrations and in the Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is passionate about music, art, as well as performing, keeps her active in many local projects as a teacher and performer. Ana is also previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana finds it a pleasure to have being able to share her love and love for the traditional Latin American songs with others as she hopes to inspire a passion particularly among the younger generation to keep this tradition of music lively and alive.Viva Mexico!
